Pulled Pork


Pilla Gris


2 tablespoons Paprika powder

2 tablespoons Thyme

1 tablespoon Garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

½ tablespoon Cayenne pepper

½ tablespoons pepper

2 tablespoons of salt

Honey sauce

225 g Honey from Lavik Bigard

80 g Butter

5 cloves of garlic

65 ml white wine vinegar

½ tablespoon Salt and Pepper

1.75 kg Mangalitsa pig from VAREGGA

(ribs or neck)

For thickening:

mix 3 tablespoons of cornstarch

with 3 dl of cold water.

Proceed like this:

1. Massage the rub well into the meat.

2: Brown the meat on all sides in a pan over high heat. (do not burn the spice)

3. The honey sauce:

Melt butter in the pan, add garlic for 1 minute. Put in the rest of the ingredients.

Simmer for approx. 30 seconds.

4. Put the meat in a suitable pot, pour over the sauce, cook covered in the oven for approx.

4 hours at 150˚C.
